Manufactured and designed by The iconic Luciano Ercolani for Ercol furniture. Known for their sleek cutting edge designs using quality materials such as beech and elm. Nowadays they are collectable items, the antiques of tomorrow. This set is a beautiful example of mid century modernist design. Using solid elm on the table top with elegantly tapered beech legs. A drop leaf table with mechanism in good working order and very sturdy. In addition to the table there are 4 beautifully crafted beech framed chairs with elm seats. They are stunning architecturally designed pieces. The detailing is well thought out with crossed bracing spindles under the seat and with back support spindles beautifully tapered and crossing one another. They are quality designer pieces that stand the test of time. Gracing any modern interior. The patina to all the pieces is amazing. Blue label Windsor range. Overall good vintage condition with wear and tear commensurate with age. A few things detailed below but nothing that detracts from this fantastic set. Slight fading to one drop leaf. The legs at the bottom have age related wear and tear but only under close inspection. Chairs – 2 x chairs one of the spindle legs slightly protrudes on seat pad however, does not affect stability or usability of chair. One chair has some dark spots v. Small on one leg at back. Overall they are great pieces considering age. I have tried to highlight the smallest flaw but see pics.. Please note the original seat pad cushions that clip onto underside are available foc.
