For sale set of 2 vintage 1960’s Ercol Windsor Candlestick Chairs model number 376. This iconic piece was designed by Lucian Ercolani and manufactured in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and is now back in fashion (keenly collected and highly regarded). Ercol furniture is synonymous with good design, quality materials and craftsmanship and is built for longevity. This is a real eye catching piece of vintage retro furniture. Each has a solid English elm seat (light finish) with beech backs, spindles and legs. The seat is showing some lovely complex elm grain. Low back with shaped top-rail consists of 4 pairs of crossed spindles which are situated beneath a curved top rail. The well constructed solid elm seat is inset beneath with angled tapering legs which provide perfect support, and spindle criss – cross stretchers help to bolster the chairs structural rigidity. Size of the chair (approximately): Depth: 18″ (46cm) Width: 16″ (41cm) Height: 31 (78cm). Seat Height: 17 (43cm). The chairs are in very good vintage condition with some slight marks commensurate with age and use. They are free of any damage or wear to joints. The chairs are sturdy with no loose joints or spindles and no separation to the elm seat. They have been cleaned and waxed. Please see pictures for a better idea of the condition.
