Vintage Brass Wood Panel Candlestick Candle Holder Wall Sconces
An unusual pair of vintage wooden wall candle sconces. I cannot verify how old they are, possibly 1930’s? They have a marquetry wood inlay, with 2 holes for wall fixing i don’t not know the wood used but possibly mahogany with a Cherry wood inlay? Some ageing on the hexagonal mirror panels – approx 10 cms wide. They have a heavy well made sturdy feel to them and no sign of any infestation. These were found in a box in the loft of a house clearance and I don’t believe they have seen much use with no obvious signs of actual candle burning etc. The brass candle holders are approx 20 cms long and pivot on a brass pin so the angle can be adjusted. Not many of these to be found nowadays. Please note only one pin available but would not be difficult to match the existing one. The brass candle holder has several parts which can be unscrewed for cleaning etc. They are in need of a clean but I have not attempted this, they are in very good clean condition for circa poss 100 years?
