This is a 17-button example from an old mansion. The buttons indicate that it came from a 5 story house with various peoples names, and room locations. Most, if not all, of the exposed metal parts would have to be re-nickeled. The multi-conductor cable to the junction box is intact, but the outer covering is frayed in a number of places. The transmitter appears to be in place, but I decided not to try to open it up so as not to snap off any of the screws. The buttons all depress and spring back up immediately, (one button has a small surface chip, 5th Floor Maid). The wood cover on the bottom is missing. The base is cast iron with a nickel-plated brass shell. The shell has surface rust but otherwise is in very good condition. There are no cracks or splits.
