This is a pair of. Cartier weighted candlesticks, about 5-3/4″ high, 3″ diameter at bottom. Design is a kind of Empire rounded four sides column, simple and elegant. There are some dings on tops where candle sits, bases, bottom edge rims with a couple of tiny nicks here and there. There is also some surface scratching characteristic of vintage silver. The center columns are in good shape. Marked Cartier Sterling Cement Filled Reinforced on bottom plus El-Sil-Co in diamond lozenge, the mark of Elgin Silversmith Co. Successor to Redlich & Co.
