Beautiful, signed candlestick holder depicting a woman in a dress. Length – 9 1/4. Height – 8 3/4. Bjørn Wiinblad (1918 – 2006), was a Danish painter, designer and artist in ceramics, silver, bronze, textiles and graphics. His work has been shown widely in Europe, the United States, Japan, Australia and Canada and his highly prized work can be found in thousands of collections throughout the world. In 1985, Wiinblad was named Man of the Year in New York for his contribution to the arts and in 1995 he was given the American-Scandinavian Foundation? PLEASE NOTE: This item is from a large collection we recently inherited. The collection was together for 30 to 40 years. The pieces in this collection were used and therefore there may be a few wear marks on the piece or wax residue still on the items that held candles. We have done our best to clean each piece as best as possible, but these were used. If there are any flaws or damage to the piece, it will be clearly noted under condition, otherwise they are in excellent condition.
