Pair VTG Gilt Bronze Torch Cherub Putti Figurine Candle Holders Mantle Statues. Beautiful pair of male and female cherub putti figure candle stick holders. They are both quite heavy and show beautiful craftsmanship. I do not know the place of origin wgere these figures were created, but my guess would be Italy, based on the design. Circumference of base: 3.5in. The figures are gilt bronze with some sign on tarnish. They of course can be shined if desired, but I think the antiqued look is quite nice. The male cherub has an opening between his legs (probably from the bronze pouring process). The gap is not visible from the front. You have to look from underneath to really see it. Aside from the tarnishing (which is natural with age), this pair of handle holders are in good condition with no scratches or chips.
