Vintage Ercol Candlestick Chairs x4 – Blonde Windsor – No 376 – VGC 1960’s. Ercol are an iconic British furniture company started by Lucian Ercolani, an Italian immigrant and Cabinet Maker in the 1930’s. They are known for their elegant sleek designs and use of quality conditioned timbers such as Beech, Ash and Elm. Some of their designs from their heyday in the 1960’s and 70’s are today highly sought after and collectable. The company have produced many of the iconic pieces of retro mid Century furniture and are still family-operated today. The 376 Dining Chair or better known as’Candlestick’ is a highly iconic piece in the field on Mid Century design. It features a curved horizontal seatback with four pairs of crisscrossing spindles below. Below the oyster shaped solid elm seat are four turned legs, bound together with double cross stick diagonal stretchers. This is a set of four, in the highly popular blonde finish. Seat Height: 42 cm. The chairs are in very good condition overall. Structurally strong with no loose joints or wobbles. They remain in original condition other than a light clean and polish. A couple of signs of previous use but overall an excellent set. Please see photos for details. The photos accurately represent the items condition.
